Change the volume level using command line in windows? My laptop does not have a button to tune the volume level or mute it.
This is annoying, when the phone rings I wave to do too many clicks in a hurry to turn the volume down before answering the phone.

But that laptop has keys that can be programmed to run any commands (it is an Acer Aspire 3630).

Which commands can I use to set the volume to 0.

The answer I would like would be something like:
c:Program Filessomethingmanage-sound.exe 0

And I would rather not install any software to do that.

Requires no installation, just a tiny exe file which mutes and unmutes the volume when run. It has commandline options for setting the volume as well, but you won't need them.
